    Over Burning The Midnight Oil

    ----------------------
    Whats On My Mind:

Due to miss communications within Genting management itself, we were all rejected for the training up there, so...
Good bye Genting, hello Sheraton Subang.
Good bye term 3, hello industrial training.
    ----------------------

I'm so sorry for not updating for almost 5 days, I wasn't able to sit at home to blog, 1st year finals was a little mixture of craziness, tiredness, sadness and joy.

Genting never reject anyone before, only people withdraw.
This is the 1st time Genting rejected the entire batch...

I stayed over at Ridzuan condominium at Fandi's place for this week, besides traveling back to restock my new supply of cloth and eat, I barely can catch my own breath.

There were 3 papers(4 for me, Bahasa Kebangsaan A) we had to sit over 3 days, 'Hospitality Operations', Language & Communication' and 'Management tools'.

The problem was each paper contains more then FOUR subjects, HO has around 10 combined sections, MT has 4,

Which consist of the foulest subject by the name of accounts and business math which I left it blank.

My term 2 accounts assessment paper,
yes I wrote this and passed it up...

Everything is over and I'm very thankful and glad!! I wonder, how in the world I survived through this, I haven been having good night sleep(4 hours +-) this week, I'm sure all of u also..

Furthermore constant cramming of everything into my head in such short time, gila anjing I tell you...

We studied, talk and even did some really random things within this period of time, here is one of it.

Yesterday(Thursday) Fandi wasn't feeling quite well, therefore I could not stay over his place for studies, instead I went over Christopher's place, but I drove there, so I din stay over.

We were preparing for our 'Management Tools' paper, which so happen the things we studied never came out!

Chris drew this during 1 of the statistic classes,
I admire the art, forget the meaning k, we all know... =)

Anyway, Chris & I studied till almost 1AM if I'm not mistaken, tiredness and laziness hunger was the main factor we stopped, head over to McD around Mentari business center.

Suddenly the both of us don't felt like eating McD for some reason, we thought and thought of places that we could go, at that time I just blurt out "nah, we cant go eat banana leaf at Bangsar at this hour man..."

Chris was like "come lets go la! I feel like eating banana leaf suddenly.", I gave him that stare and asked "you serious? its 1AM++ in the morning... heck lets go anyway!"

    Study? I guess not...

Of cause la, I phoned Aaron just before we left to ask if the place is closed, he told me 3AM but not sure about it.

Come on, we are talking about 2 very tired, hungry and on the edge of crazy randomness mood person by the name of Melvin & Chris, anything can happen, hence we went.

I was surprised that at 1AM++ in the morning they still serve banana leaf rice!!! Don't you just love Malaysia when it comes to food? =P

The clock hit 2AM, the banana leaf rice shop(Nirwana) was closing by then, we finished just in time and depart.

We left the shop, but not Bangsar just yet, a suddenness came and I felt like taking Chris on a tour around Bangsar at 2AM+ in the morning, you see what I mean by "anything can happen"..?

"The street is mine!" =D I've never parked right in front of
the shop before, cause normal time its jam packed.. =(

We went to places like my former school(SMK Bukit Bandaraya), other spots around Bangsar, the place where I used to live, but my uncle shifted out, so I tipu the guard with the unit number that I still remember to get in. =P

Went pass that famous haunted house we used to talk about back in those days, orang Bangsar pasti tahu. =P *winks* Yes, we were that random, but Chris was from Kuching, so its ok la.

I reached home at 2.30AM, fell asleep approximately 3AM. Talk about year end exam, people never sleep for nights to study, just look at us...

There is an Indonesian phrase that perfectly describe the both of us.

This was how I practice my statistic,
draw the graft on a non-graft paper...

Calon gagal - a person that sure fail

Indeed... For 'Management Tools' paper only la. =D

    Unusual Toilet Instruction

Its quite common in Malaysian toilets to have instructions to teach you how to use the toilet unit.

This proves how much of some peoples sanitary knowledge.

Some have 'aiming' problem, I guess they are not quite a player in Counter Strike.

Or some do 'acrobat' on the toilet unit, when the mangkuk pecah then things will surely get ugly.

Gazing upon the BMW countdown timer creates
in me a mixture of different feelings... =/

Hence people came up with toilet instruction posters, paste commonly within the toilet compound, I'm sure all of you have seen it.

Today, I was at 'Auto surf' internet cafe with my friends after church.

I need to take a leak half way gaming, therefore a man got to do what a man got to do.

Then I saw this instruction paste in front of me upon entry.

Sure beat those lame 'how to shit, pee & flush posters we normally see in our school'...

    Malaysian Moment

BMW short film competition closing date is just 2 days more, officially I wont be able to enter it.... ='(

Due to the on holding of the music composition process for a certain reason, therefore this project has to be scraped away...

But its not the end of it yet, despite unable to enter the competition, I'll still go on to complete it, I shall not let our hard work gone to waste, maybe I will enter this artwork into a different competition if had the chance. =)

So Zhiyu, after your friend has done the music, pass it to me, we shall roll the camera~! =D

Even though ideas come late, but better then never. =D

Anyway, I shall keep todays post short.

Another typical Malaysian moment caught by my camera.

I know la green means go, but by positioning your car in front of the green grass doesn't mean you can go leh...

    Operation Sabotage - Target: Doreen

The word birthday and sabotage has a close relationship with each other since the dawn of wipe cream and swimming pool, there cant be one without another.

Its not the case every time, but if you have 2 over energetic house mates whom are extremist when it comes to birthday sabotaging and doesn't mind flooding the entire house, thats a whole other story.

    Alice, Doreen & Ting

Tagging along with the plot was Fandi and I.

Initially, we plan to messed up the house to create a 'robbery' scene.

1st, break into Doreen's room to hide away her laptop, hand phone and guitar.

2nd, mess up the things around the house.

3rd, prepare a bowl of something "special" which I forgot what was it made of.

    Suddenly!

She came home! We weren't prepared for her return, the person that was suppose to report her movement forgot to inform us that they were on the way back!

We were halfway messing up the house, it lead us no choice but to run and hide somewhere, I rushed towards the main power supply and turned the entire thing off.

Clearly, the plan was totally busted, but she has no clue what was going on.

    "hair care solution"

What happens when your caught in between
    a crossfire...

I hid myself with Ting at the drying area, and of all places, she went there 1st...

I see her she see me, I just stood there and say "halo" loh... Come on, what else can I do? Caught read handed already... I guess she was confused as well.

Alice then came from the back and "boooo!", so much for surprising.

I tell you, this was the craziest indoor sabotage I've been in...

Small part of the hall area and the entire kitchen was filled with water.

Click on the blue words below to watch video

She was given a hair care treatment.

Forced to run 2 rounds outside of her house while Alice does a monolog behind the camera.

Finally a birthday blessing from the heart.

At the end of the day, we guys went home, and girls clean the house~ =P

Definitely one sabotage that I will never forget.

Whats your sabotaging or sabotaged moment? =D

    Lets Make History

My constipation days are coming to an end very soon, 9 more days!

Let me explain a little here for those who does not know what am I going through.

I'm joining a short film making competition organized by BMW, the theme of the movie is 'H2O' a.k.a water.

I have been thinking how to go about this theme.

At the end, I came up with an idea of illustrating 'water' as 'tears'.

The entire film will be a 'narration-come-music video'.

I shall not be a spoiler, wait till its done and you all shall be able to watch! =D

Guaranty wont be like that film - 'Bukit Kepong'
which I have to watch during BM class...

I hope really that in this 9 days(including today), we will be able to finish music composition, film poster design, finalizing story board and shooting the film.

Its gona be a ride of year 2008 for me, its just the early part of the year.

    I'm looking towards a great 2008! =D

Wish me & my team the best~ ;)

    A Pool Addicts Fancy Crap

    ------------------------
    Whats On My Mind:

Chris & I skipped statistic test today, planning to retake it on Thursday due to "lack of ability" to perform. =)
    ------------------------

I'm sorry for the late update, I've been having a lot to think these days.

Competition timing is getting tight, final exams are nearing, presentation power point yet to be completed.

Every moment that pass makes me feel like I'm having constipation...

I have to complete the power point by today..

The part that sux was my power point is not really working, so yeah... I'll be out soon..

Anyway, a short post a say, keeps the readers awake! =D

Chris drew his gf's name and my name during statistic class in art.
Now u know why we are "unable" to sit for the test? =P

Term 3 was rather free, even though the 1st year end test are coming up.

I've been a lot to 'level 7' - a place where we can play pool.

I'm a total noob in pool, many of you know that.

But I'm playing better day by day, I hope...

There was this time I saw Chris did this...

I missed an easy shot, thats why....

Good way to taunt someone in the game of pool, but I was a noob, so we just laugh.

As the days goes by, Fandi did this as well...

My goodness, I'm being left behind!

I must think of something more sexy, so I wont lose out.

One day, I have an idea!

    And I did this~

    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .

Nothing better then utilizing both hand and leg! =D

    Rhythm of My Heart

The clock is ticking, and ticking fast.

Sometimes I wish that clocks can move anticlockwise.

    Or time could be purchased.

    Including today...

Ideas has been flowing in from everyone around me, input after input, no doubt the ideas were great.

But I could not grasp hold of them..

My vision ahead was blur.. The ideas are awesome at nature, I so wish I can visualize it into a short film, but I couldn't...

I went to college just as any other day, I arrived early today, walked myself to the mamak to have breakfast.

The song by Santana & Chad Kroeger(Nickelback) kept playing over and over again in my head.

    Suddenly!

I felt something as hard as the piano falling on my head!

    Its call idea!

Just a brief background on what all this is about, I'm joining a short film competition, and the theme if the 20 minute max clip is - H2O a.k.a water.

    So much H2O~

I'm too energetic and excited to put these all in words!!! Keep your eyes out & popping! The film is coming to past soon!

Sorry, today short post, I'm working on writing the story, trying to draw story board, lyric writing & constant brainstorming with a freaking pain on my right side neck(slept with a wrong position)!!

I've asked 2 of my friends, Vivian and Zhiyu to help compose the song! Friday! FRIDAY!

    We are gona rock baybeh!

    Legendary godlike guitarist - Santana
    Not Santa Claus...

    Pray for our success!

    Iron Chef

I just realize I have not been posting much about kitchen class this term..

So I've decided to put up a little bit, sharing is caring rite? =D

Cut tomato till I scared ah...

Surprisingly for the 1st time since term 1, I finally went into kitchen class knowing what to do, I read the 'fich technique' before kitchen class, thats why! =P

    Filleting

Yes, for the past 2 terms, I was like a blur sotong walking in every class just expecting the food to magically being prepared.

    Risotto

1 way or another, Jeff & I made quite a team, even though he feel like killing me and I feel like killing him sometimes. =P

    Baked Fish!

In fact, I think we did pretty well, no matter how chaotic the condition, somehow we will still manage to pull it through.

    The sauce for the fish

Our 2 favorite phrase "are you sure? This its the point of no return!", said upon not knowing we will either break or make something.

Restaurant staff curi makan!(we do the same also) =P

1st used back at term 1, we knew Chef Tan loves butter, and we used butter to fry the green veg(cant find the cooking oil) not knowing what will turn up, in the end, we got 5/5 points. =)

Sinfully delicious pastries from the pastry kitchen!

And I declare the same phrase again by rubbing butter on our 'soon-to-be-fries', the surface was coated with butter before the deep frying process.

    De-bone the lamb shoulder..

Magic don't work sometimes... We burned the fries and ended up getting 3/5... So much for "bribing" Chef Tan's tongue. =(

    The bone..

2nd favorite phrase, which I used when I get frustrated, "don't care la, now I shall do it the "Melvin cooking style"!", 1st used back at term 2, but I cant remember how it started.

    De-boned! =D

All I remember was I was darn upset that I cant perform the "French way" of cooking, therefore I did my way, and the food turn up to be nice! =D

But got a hole in the middle... =(

Term 3 toned down quite a lot, kitchen wasn't that exciting as it used to be, now everything is quite rushed because our lecturer Chef Shari is a bum...

Seasoning is about the feeling! =D

Production wise is better then term 2, therefore we have lots of free time, we even have time to stand around and look busy(if not lecturer will ask us to do stuff).

    Process of making sauce

    But learning wise..

I "light-fry" it to keep my lamb portion warm,
this is 1 of "Melvin's cooking style"...

Nil, I feel like a factory, being asked to cook so that the guest can eat and we can go home..

The veg mix the lamb sauce

I personally like the free time we have things are quite chilled at the end, but I hate it when we learn nothing, I think both of these areas should be balance.

I forgot what is this called.. =(

Tomorrow will be my last kitchen class for the term..

I hope things will be fun & work out well. =)
