Sights And Sounds, A Flash Back Tale

    Dear Blog,

8 months has already pass, and its already the 9th month of the year, seem so fake that from my original plan of entering form 6 differs to enrolling myself into Taylor's School of Hospitality and Tourism.

Many flames has rose and put out during the period of "tribulation", visions rise, dreams died.

Oxymoron sign? Wana go F6 at 1st, then ended up in Taylor's, this banner is cursed!

Now it all comes to another new beginning... My term 1 is going to end very soon, I finally gona flunk my 1st paper, which is my kitchen theory!

Out of frustration, I actually written "I don't know" as an answer in one of the questions, well better then answering "refer to text book page 67" during my SPM history paper.

Even though in Taylor's, some of us students so "semangat belajar" till can force other fellow class mates to enter class.

Karl "forcing" David to enter class! =P
Nah, this was just playing around...

Certain things thought in college is just not my thing... DAMMIT! My hands are built to hold cameras, not peel potatoes!!!

Anyhow, it was great fun doing all our project together in small teams, obviously some flames did occur, such as losing the soft copy report on both laptop and thumb drive the day before project due date.

It ain't funny when your in our shoes... Thanks to Chris, heavens rejoice! We are saved!

Sample picture of our ICT project, the press kit/booklet

We spent heck lots of $ in all our project, I estimate the total cost we spent was about RM600++.

    Sample of our brochure cover

The brochure itself! And Sio Sen posing in one of the pictures. =P

Bloggie oh bloggie, what am I going to do now, sometimes I feel that am I at the right course? Or should I be somewhere else where I can do even better.

But if I were to be somewhere else, how would my outcome turn up to be? I wouldn't be able to meet the people that I am around with today.

No we are not rich, this is part of our project, so no choice. =P

Nevertheless, whats come to past is done, better look ahead then behind.

Therefore, I shall not groan about "if I, if I and more if I", and I shall start recording down something happy on you my bloggie!

Why not I start with the moments when we were doing our project..

I call it our "pro-nica" moment, 'pro' stands for 'project' and 'nica' derives from the word 'konica', something to do with camera la.

In other words, process of doing project caught on camera!

"Pronica" moment take 1: Got important things to do

Getting ready to serve green tea to the class during presentation.

"Pronica" moment take 2: Nothing better to do

"Pronica" moment take 3: Don't know what to do/Don't know what they are doing

This is where peoples imagination goes wild...

As a conclusion, it is up to us to determine how would our life would be, even in the depths of hell, you can somehow learn to survive.

I hope to write more flash backs in future, till then bloggie, continue to receive more crazy post from me. =P

    Sincerely your author,
    MelzKC

So whats your "pronica" moment? Projects are dull? Team mates boring?

Well, all you need is a camera and a crazy happy go lucky attitude, you maybe able to change the atmosphere in your project life!

But sometimes circumstances do prevent us from being what we wan to be, but no fear my friends! We are all still learning to co-op with each other more each day. =)

    Money Also Can Emo!

We were dead bored waiting for David's ATM card to be issued by the Maybank authorities.

Out of boredom, he took out his Singapore Dollar and started folding it, "hey, I wana show you something."

    "Ok..."

Sheeeee.....! I think "Mr.Sing Dollar" wants to tell us something.

"Hi! My name is Encik Yusof bin Ishak!"

"I am so happy because I'm the 1st president of the Singapore Republic!"

"I feel so sad because Malaysia kicked us out last time, we suffer a lot you know to build up our country!"

"Aiyoh! Why my people became so 'kia su' now days!? I am so in grieved of this culture, what have you all become since my departure!!??"

"But I am over all happy because my face are on ALL Singapore dollars! And I am a bigger value compare to the Malaysian Ringgit! Who ask you to kick us out last time!? HAH! Serve you right!"

"Cis!! Berlagak sial orang tu!!"(Hey!! That fella is such a show off!!)

I wanted to put little voice bubble on the pictures, but the space not enough.

Anyhow, let me propose a challenge just for fun, you guys grab all 5/6 of those picture, and go make up your own "conversation" like what I did, and repost it on your blog.

Don't forget to drop me your link in the COMMENT BOX after you done it, share your creativeness to the world people!! =D

    Another Country Myth

Normally if you were to enter a foreign country, you expect that any document that the immigration give you are to be in English.

One thing weird in 'my country' is sometimes they give form which has double language(BM & BI, which is good) but sometimes they give only in BM.

Would it be better if they centralize is all to be in English? Because you cant expect foreigners to read BM other then people coming from Indonesia.

Yesterday Jeff & I went to Maybank with David, he wanted to open a bank account there so that can draw money easily.

I was flipping through his passport and I came across a receipt issued by the immigration department.

    Vietnamese understand BM kah??

Receipt some more, like this how he can read and refer to what he had paid in future?

I really don't get it lo, wan use English all use la, why some got English and some don't have... =/

    Menu Preparation

I had blogged about my kitchen class but nothing about restaurant, it is because our lecturer is kinda fast moving, therefore not enough time to take pictures.

But this is melzkc.blogspot.com, a picture oriented blog, I managed to snap 2 shots during our class when lecturer was looking elsewhere.

Here is a sneak peak for non-hotel students about what we do during restaurant practical class.

1st up! Setting up the table for typical fine dining.

This table I set wan weh, teratur or not? =D

My work station, where all the things you used to set the table are all placed here, so that we don't have to run up and down.

Few weeks ago, our lecturer gave us an assignment, that is to create a restaurant menu.

Due to some problems, my menu turn up to be like this...

And I thought I did a great job by decorating it till so "nice" in less then 5 minutes!

Until I saw Sio Sen's menu...

4x the number! 4x the beauty!

It pwned my menu so hard, if I used it to wipe the shit out of my ass, my ass would shout "Oi! Use toilet paper la!"...

I don't understand why, but after looking at her menu, my spirit within me is screaming, "Mel/KC, you got serious work to do!".

So one fine evening, I took time time to walk from my house all the way to 'Big Book Shop' at Taipan USJ.

I bought a piece of paper that worth only RM0.80 and walk all the way back home.

I thought to myself, "eh, now got paper, but no stuff can be used to decorate the menu!".

Luckily, my savior stayed just around the corner where I live.

Thanks Leanne for loaning me your color pen and ribbons! =D

I waste no time, and got my lazy arse up and start working.

    After 2 hours...

    Wallah~!

    Nice or not?

Reminds me of art class back then during lower secondary school days.

    Click picture to enlarge

Just me poking fun on the menu. And sorry for my ugly handwriting.

I'm satisfied with what I did, but my lecturer say this 'window type menu' he don't wan, instead he wants the fold into half type.

He asked me to redo... -.-

    "Jiak sai la!"

    @#$%~!
