    Nuffnang 5th Birthday Bash

Ok, the rule says I gotta be creative to win the invites to Nuffnang B'day Bash.
Instead, I'm gonna cheat. *If you know what I mean* =3

So the question is 'how should the stick man celebrate his 5th b'day?'

I think, everyone should get their friends to do the stick man pose, better still, get some friends to do it with you.

    Spot me! I'm in green!

    See, its done! =D

On top of that, why I would love to be there at the 5th Nuffnang b'day bash?

The answer is plain simple, it is because of these guys...

Spending some time with them would be my objective.

I cannot ask for more, knowing them was undisputedly one of the many great memory chapter created in my life.

I thank God for all the fun times we had during that short time frame.

Indeed it still put a smile on my face, remembering how we all look like dressed up for halloween.

Also the hard and difficult times we share, working towards one objective while overcoming obstacles.

We all grew from that experience, but ultimately is the friendship and trust that was forged which was important.

From a little blogger who had seen Nuffnang grew from thin air to what it is today, 2007 - 2012 and beyond.

Ultimately getting the chance to be able to go back of the house and experience what being in there was all about.

I had never regret forsaking the chance to stay in Taiwan Longer.

Come to think of it, if I had stayed, I would not have meet these bunch of awesome people. :)

See you at Nuffnang 5th Birthday Bash! Tickets please! *muka tak malu* =D

    Pastor Ordination @ Kechara

I was invited to go for a Pastor Ordination at Kechara house not too long ago.

At 1st, I was thinking, "pastor ordination", must be a new church!

    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .

    Or so it was...

My guess why they call them pastors is because pretty much like the Christian definition, pastors look after their 'flocks'/followers.

Nevertheless, it was an eye opener.

1st time going into a Tibetan Buddhist association house.

The super star of the night is a monk by the name of - H. E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche.

He is probably the most 'diva' monk I've ever meet or know of!

Hollywood portrayal of monks went out my mind and into the trash can.

His manner of speech, outlook (shades), his persona, nothing like a stereotype Shaolin monk.

    no this is not him

    "Je suis qui je suis!"

    You see what I mean...

I have to give him credit though, he speaks well, and he definitely knows how to engage the people.

    For that, I respect him.

    Thus ends the pastor ordination.

    Indeed a new experience.

And no, I don't want to become a monk. :)

    Left 4 Speed 2 (Left 4 Dead 2 Parody )

Remember the game Left 4 Dead?

Some time ago, I think I've posted a video of a parody of Left 4 Dead.

Now with the new Left for Dead 2 game released, fan boys just cannot wait to make a parody out of the new game.

I know I haven been updating my blog for a long time.

Hope this made up to you.

    Enjoy!

    Tree Hug-gers

I saw this some what amusing sign in one of Sunway Pyramid toilet the other day.

It is another way of telling you to wipe your ass again and again with already shit filled toilet paper.

I like the creative tag line.

Sadly, I'm one who concerns more about hygiene then trees. :P

Nobody is gonna smell your shit and say that "oh that guy is noble, he is trying to save the environment!".

    They'll just say "you stink!".

Aj Rafael Ft. Jesse Barrera - She Was Mine

    Hey guys~~

    A quickie for the day!

To be honest, my motivation these days are really low, I just could not seem to focus much on my own studies,

    Let alone my blog updates.

Nevertheless, from time to time, I would love to share some really nice songs, funny videos and etc.

Recently I recalled a friend of mine introduced me a song long time ago.

I decide to just pick up a tune or two on Youtube since I was looking for some new songs.

    And here is it!

Simple lyrics and soothing melody, absolutely love it!

Recently I had a strange liking to these kinda slow mellow songs with catchy tune at the back.

    I wonder why.. :P

Till then, I hope things would be better soon for me and all of us who are not doing too well at this moment in time.

    Take care~

I Thought I Will Never See This In My Life

I was at the Summit USJ the other day.

    Just hanging out as usual.

Normally me and my friend would walk around randomly, up and down just wasting time.

When I was on an escalator heading down, I saw this.

Darn, sow could someone lost 1 side of his sandal and not noticing it at all?

I was thinking, this guy must be really dumb.

    BUT!

Few seconds later after I clear walking down the pathway, I saw this.

Heck, that is something I've always imagine it happening.

Never thought I would ever see one live!!

Bunga Citra Lestari - Pernah Muda

Hey guys, I wanted to update something with some substance today.

But I don't feel so good mentally.

Kinda tired and thinking a lot lately.

I'm sorry if you were expecting more from me.

Looks like I've got to make it up to you guys some other time.

When I don't feel so good, I'll listen to some good tunes.

Here is one I wanna share with you guys, its an old song, but I like it nevertheless.

The sound quality a little bit rough from the MP3 version, I think Youtube got other version, feel free to check it out.

    Till then, take care. :)

    Ride Down South

On Friday a group of 5 people went down to Melacca to do a project - 'Religion tourism'.

Everything went quite well, going to edit the video soon~

This trip is really a hard to get.

Sleepy cat on a hot day in 'Dataran Pahlawan'

Having all 5 of us group members down there ain't an easy task.

Nevertheless, I am glad its all over and we had a great time there.

Jonker street was great, got ourselves some paint job.

I got mine on my right hand.

Melacca is truly a place you should visit.

More portrait photos in another camera.

    Till then~ ;)

    Mind-screwed

Have you ever been through a state where what you thought you knew suddenly became something totally unknown?

Things seem to be going all hills up, and suddenly everything just came to a halt and went downhill all the way.

Investing in something which seems prospective may turn up into a disaster, or worst something to haunt you later on.

I tried following the book, it failed.

I tried not following the book, epically failed.

Philosophy, theories, media and etc all seems too bullshit to even exist.

Cant things just be more simple?

Why all the hassle to deny something that clearly its your basic want or should I say need?

Hypocritical standard operating procedure, its a miracle people can live in those situation.

Shakespear said "everyone is an actor playing their part on lifes stage.", but I say "everyone is a great pretender playing a part they should not play."

I also don't know what else to say.

    I'm mind-screwed!

Kerispatih - Tak Lekang Oleh Waktu

A friend of mine intro me a music video.

He told me the MV was shot quite well.

But what I loved the most was of course the song itself.

Beautiful melody, lyrics and nice MV makes it even more appealing to me.

Here is the MV on Youtube for your viewing pleasure.

So what do you think? :)

    After Sunrise

    Today was a fateful day.

I thought that getting up early morning with a head pain was bad.

But what I had to faced in school was evermore "exciting".

I do not wanna go into detail about what happen, but you can ask me about it face to face.

The bottom line is, I became the class representative and I am no longer 'single' due to a "exclusive service scandal". :(

Darn man, now how la I going to get a girlfriend now? :(

    Gee... Thank YOU guys...

    Clowning around in Sheraton Bandung

All in all, things seem to be fine, though the new campus isn't that convenient, but I think we will get used to it soon.

After today, I'm feeling that this term will go quite well, still keeping my fingers crossed though.

Till then, I'm off to bed so I wont get a head pain tomorrow morning.

    Take care~ ;)

    Project E.A - Economical Abundance

    Alright, new year new goals.

I have to say though I'm thinking ahead a lot lately.

    Still, I'm excited for 2010!

Many things can happen in 365 days, sometimes we cant help but to be down and sad.

Absolute Beauty of Kawah Puteh - White Crater

Instead of drowning counting the days we have to live through sadly.

There is an equal amount of days for us to be happy and try our best to live it all out.

Like the U.S Navy motto, "The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday!"

After much pondering, I realize my problem last year was I am always short of cash, plans never came to pass because of the lack of funds.

    With ma lady host

This year, I promise I'm not going to be in the same shit hole.

I'm gonna save up some of the cash while put some into good use.

2 things I must do this year with the money I saved,

    Absolute Beauty

1st, to get myself a new phone. My old W810i has served me well, its showing sign of old age by turning off automatically and having distorting my received SMS.

2nd, go to another foreign country for at less 5 days.

3rd, God willing, to get a DSLR Camera.

Kebun Teh somewhere in the mountain area of Bandung

Now I shall go get some motivation by opening my empty piggy bank.

So whats your 2010 gonna be like? :)

    Thinking Ahead

So the new year has begun, whats ahead for us this year?

365 days may seem a very long time to some, yet short for others.

I meet with an old friend when I was in Jakarta few weeks ago.

It was great catching up with him and learning how the other people that were in his social circle last time are doing now.

Reality reminded me again that, "hey man, you are gonna graduate in 1.5 year! what now?" during the time we were catching up.

Knowing that one became a captain in a restaurant, one doing freelance pastry supplying, one became an event promoter,

One took over his father's business, one became a cook in hotel and one in a Japanese restaurant.

Each of them took their own path.

There I am, sitting down there listening to all the stories, kinda makes me feel like a total noob.

Have any of you get that kind of feeling before?

You wanna do something in life but still you cannot do anything and knowing if you do, there will be major risks involved.

I hope this new year will be a year that I can do something really useful and memorable.

Till then, I wish you guys will have a great 1 year journey ahead!

    Good Bye 2009

    --------------------
    Whats On My Mind:

    OMG MELVIN HAS UPDATED!
    --------------------

Yet another year went by in a blink of an eye.

I looked back at what I wrote in the beginning of 2009, my resolutions.

    I got 6 of them.

Some I manage to achieve, some I did not, some just started.

Things we expect to turn up good and it doesn't.

On the other hand, somethings we never thought it could ever occur, it did.

Bottom line, circumstances may change, but it is our choice to ride with the wave or ride against it.

That ride might just turn out to be smooth sailing or crashing onto you.

I had my fair share of bitter sweet, what about you? :)

There is just something muscular about this cloud lol

I hope that 2010 would be a great year ahead, as you all can see my blog record has not been consistent.

I would wanna do better this coming year.

Wish you all a happy new year! May good opportunity come to you!

    Pre-Indonesia Expedition

Words could not express my excitement!

Finally I am able to travel out of Malaysia again!

But this time, the heat is turned up many times.

I'm not talking about Singapore where everything is so organized, nor Sabah where everything can be solved with just a smile.

Its Indonesia! Besides the initial journey from Malaysia to Bandung, which I will be traveling down with another friend of mine.

The transit journey to Semarang and Jakarta would test my level of independence and fluency in Bahasa.

The tension between Malaysia and Indonesia politics isn't favorable to me at all, especially in Jakarta, a friend actually told me to be careful with the authorities there.

Whatever that means, I don't wan to come home "in a box."

Wish me all the best there~ I'll send greetings if I am able to on Facebook or here!

    Stay tune~ ^^

Memories Of Term Six In Black And White

    ------------------------
    Whats On My Mind:

This post was written on 19th of August 2009.

Yes I know what you wana say, sorry lor....

This wont be a long winded and emo-fied post,
just something short and sweet. ^^
    ------------------------

Long gone were the times we go up to 7th floor and pool till we forget class time.

Long gone were the times every corner we turn and we will see familiar faces.

Long gone were the times where the food stalls in campus were better then now.

And long gone were the times of being a noob, we all had in a way or another, elevated into a new phase today.

Jeff's birthday & farewell in KL

I came to college, its atmosphere doesn't seem to be like old times.

With both DH 28 Rooms Division and Food & Beverage students joined together in one same class along side with a hand full of new students.

    The scene has changed.

Candid shot during class, stress term 6!

Nevertheless, things go on, I am sure all of us gotten used to the new surrounding, but it is good to recall those sweet memories of diploma days.

One such thing I always do was when I walked pass the 3 restaurants, looking at our recent junior batches performing service in there.

I would always say, "I was there".

I also recalled the moments where I HATE being in the kitchen.

Blardy fiche technique that I could never seem to understand, the smell and pre & post service experience.

Now, I walked into this place where I used to dislike, looking at the station we used to place and do our mise-en-place while chatting and ended up our work was behind time.

    Suppose to study for exam

I got to be honest with you, I kinda miss those times a little bit.

Not a whole lot! Just a little. :)

I like this picture very much~
Thx to Elaine for the simple yet classy frame edit. ;)

Term 6 was the only term we had lots of photo taking session.

Regardless the person is narcissist or not, you either pose willingly and end up being in a nice picture or post unwillingly and end up having a distorted face in the picture.

Despite our finals was close to us, we still manage to have fun and pass our finals~

    An achievement indeed. :P

I can say, we had run the good race, and we finished well. :)

Many had left to pursue different paths, nevertheless you will always be remembered as batch 28.

Good blessings be upon the path you take.

May we always be in your memories as you are in ours!

A new journey had already begin~

-The history of batch 28 (DH/DC/DT), its joy and sadness lived and rest here-

    Long Live The Tang Emperor!

Sabah has always been close to my heart, my 2 previous visitation 5/6 years ago has left a strong imprint in what I become today.

I learned to take care of myself, sleep in sleeping bag, bath in the river and even shit in a toilet that don't have a flushing system. That is another story.

This time round, I was more fortunate, due to the fact I came 2 days ahead of time. I checked myself into a hotel in Kota Kinabalu town - 'Tang Dynasty'.

    My room

I am going to share a rather funny yet creepy story about the place I stayed for 3 days and 2 nights.

I checked in at Tang's on the 25th of September, the hotel is kinda nice, small but peaceful, its a 3 start if I'm not mistaken.

So I took my key, room number 629. As soon as I reached the 6th floor, I walked out from the lift to look for my room, there was a sign showing room number what and walk to left or to right.

I scan through that sign board.

This is the sign on the 4th floor, I never took the one at 6th floor.

    Where is 629??

My heart begins to beat... *dag dag dag* Imagination running wild, scenes if horror movies flashing in my head.

I picked to walk along the sign that point towards 628, though it did not say 629 is over that side.

Step by step I walked, pin drop silence echos the entire 6th floor, only the sound of the exhaust hood could be heard from the other end of the hallway.

As I approach the end of the hallway, at the corners of my eyes, I caught 2 separate door openings, the creaking sound of the carpet gets louder as I am getting near to the end.

This is not the 6th floor, its the 4th, the room at the right end there, is mine

The 2 separate doorway turns out to be an opening into another 2 room, the feeling is like 2 rooms inside another room.

Darn, it feels like a mortuary I tell you.

I hold up my key card, the moment of truth.

    *teeeet teeeet*

    Invalid key card!

I could not say how happy I was! I rushed down to the reception, put on a pitiful face, I told the receptionist, "can I change my room? I cant enter my room..."

Bingo! Score 1~ Hence I changed to the 4th floor, and I don't have a trouble since then.

Later did I know, Tang Dynasty hotel actually undergo a renovation and in the process an accident, a few of the workers died.

And 629 was one of the new rooms after the construction.

Shit, thank goodness the door was jammed!

In addition to the horrors of Tang, I had 2 more friends whom are girls with me that time, they were in a different room on the 5th floor.

One of them were in the shower, and one was watching TV, suddenly she heard someone calling her name.

    "Hannie... Hannie... Hannie"

That was freaky when she told me the story later.

Sabah indeed is a land filled with mystical elements, for those who had never been to Sabah, you got to come here someday.

With that I shall leave you guys with this post for the week.

Till then, more to come! ;)

March of The Flying Ants & Its Friends

    Good greetings!

It has been 2 weeks of survival in the land below the wind.

Things are starting to get better and I am getting more and more familiar with the lifestyle here.

I am currently over at Joel's place at Luyang, KK.

    Road to Joel's house

I've actually hand written a post on my note book, totally prepared to just type out everything and post it up.

Apparently I forgot to bring my note book with me. :(

Not to worry, nevertheless I shall just update a few memorable events here.

Other then getting hit by the tail of the Manila typhoon which in return caused quite a few parts in KK (I assume) to black out and unending rain pour.

I was down with food poisoning just 2 days ago, and thankfully I am well since yesterday!

The experience was one of the worst in my life.

    Night view from his place

Never once I vomited 5 times and shit 4 times in any food poisoning event.

It was so bad, I beg God to take me back to heaven.

Partly because of the ringing headache that just cannot go away.

The pain was so agonizing, I couldn't sleep at all, thoughts run wild, I kept thinking that I will not make it back to West Malaysia alive, the chant of "I want to go home" kept ringing in my head.

Monuments found in one of the catholic church

I am serious! The effect of the pain can drive anyone up the wall.

Finally, I could not take it anymore, I told myself I got to go to the doctor.

To cut the story short, I got myself an injection in the ass to stop the headache and a hand full of medicine.

I could barely walk after the shot, Lin Yin who accompanied me throughout the entire journey couldn't stop laughing at the way I was trying walking properly. :(

A moment I was walking like a penguin, another moment like a pregnant lady (if I place my hands on my waist).

And the rain made it worst, she was holding an umbrella while walking behind of me, and as the light shines,

The shadow projected on the wall looked as if the Sultan of Melacca was strolling in pain with a kuli holding an umbrella behind of him..

    Nexus Karambunai's lobby

Laughter in the mids of pain, boredom is definitely not the word to describe this training. I am sure there will be more yet to come! ;)

Till then, I'll leave you guys with this piece, better hope I don't forget to bring my note book next week! Take care!
